Angelo Keely — Co-Founder & CEO of Kion
I build healthy, high-performance teams and premium nutritional brands that help people live fun, active, and fulfilling lives.
Through Kion, we’ve served over 500,000 customers, and I’ve shared our work and ideas on 100+ podcasts focused on health, leadership, and building values-driven companies.
I want to help others live their most fun, active and creative lives.
Create the business you believe in
I believe the best businesses are built with clarity of purpose, disciplined execution, and respect for the people they serve and employ.
At Kion, our purpose is simple: to help people feel good in their bodies.
That purpose drives how we design products, how we market, how we treat customers, and how we build our team. When the purpose is clear, decision-making gets simpler — and the business gets stronger over time.
Kion
Kion is a direct-to-consumer, premium supplement company focused on fundamental healthspan nutrition.
We intentionally keep our product line focused — amino acids, protein, creatine, omega-3s— and hold a high bar for formulation quality, transparency, and evidence. We believe fewer, better products build more trust than constant novelty.
Founded in 2017, Kion has served 500,000+ customers and continues to grow by prioritizing:
• long-term customer outcomes
• quality over hype
• simple, honest education
• excellent service
How I work
My role as a founder and CEO is not to be indispensable — it’s to build systems, teams, and incentives that work well without heroics.
I care deeply about:
• long-term thinking over short-term wins
• clear ownership and accountability
• written documentation and durable processes
• incentives that align customers, team members, and the business
• continuous learning and self-awareness
I believe culture is not slogans or perks.
It’s the accumulation of daily behaviors, decisions, and conversations.
What I value
These values shape how I lead and how we build at Kion:
Do Your Best: Be solution-oriented, resourceful, and proud of the quality of your work.
Desire for Self-Awareness: We’re always developing. Understanding our own patterns and blind spots matters.
Passion for Professional Growth: Mastery is motivating. Building a great company requires continual learning.
Fun-Loving: Work should be challenging and enjoyable. We don’t take ourselves too seriously.
Courageous Communication: Candor, deep listening, and honesty — especially when it’s uncomfortable.
These values aren’t aspirational. They’re operational.
A bit about how I’m wired
I’m passionate about staying in motion — creating momentum, living a fulfilling life, and helping others do the same.
Family, health, and growth are my top three values, and they shape how I think about work, leadership, and time.
I thrive in creative, driven cultures that respect tight timelines and still make room for spontaneous, human expression.
I believe the underlying culture of a group — and the emotional experience of the individuals within it — shapes most outcomes, often more than strategy or intelligence.
I enjoy far-out brainstorming followed by clear action lists, detailed planning, and disciplined execution.
Media & conversations
I’ve appeared on 100+ podcasts discussing:
• foundational nutrition and supplementation
• healthspan and longevity
• building values-driven, profitable businesses
• leadership, culture, and incentives
I prefer long-form conversations that prioritize clarity, evidence, and lived experience over hot takes.

Outside of work
I live in Boulder, Colorado with my wife and two kids.
I enjoy movement, strength training, surfing, good food, thoughtful conversation, and building things that are meant to last.
I’m especially interested in how people change — and how environments either support or undermine that change.
